2016 Honda AccordThe 2016 Honda Accord was just previewed in Silicon Valley, showcasing all of the advanced safety and connectivity features that are going to set Honda’s mid-size sedan even further apart from its competitors, and we can’t wait for it to arrive at a Mid-Missouri Honda Dealer near you.

While there are still some key details that need to be announced – pricing and engine specs in particular – Honda has given us a preview of some of the tech and design upgrades you can expect on the new Accord. And we want to share our favorite updates with you.

Highlights of the New Accord

John Mendel, the Executive Vice President of Honda’s Automobile Division, described the direction of the new Accord, saying, “Customers want their vehicles to be more intelligently integrated with their smartphone-powered lives.” And it looks ready to give a new meaning to in-vehicle connectivity.

On the new Accord, you can find

  • State-of-the-art smartphone connectivity via Android Auto for Android smartphones and from Apple CarPlay for iPhone users.
  • Honda Sensing safety and driver assistance features. The high-tech safety amenities found standard on Touring models are now going to be available on each 2016 Honda Accord trim level.
  • Updated Display Audio interface with a 7-inch touchscreen. Control your tech, audio, and vehicle settings through this available crystal clear display.

The Accord is receiving some style updates as well, with one of the most significant changes coming to the wheels. All 2016 Accord models will feature a new wheel design, but Sport and Touring trim levels will have a brand new set of 19-inch alloy wheels – the largest ever on an Accord.
