While modern connectivity features may not be a necessity yet, it’s often a big convenience to be able to make and receive calls behind the wheel without ever searching for your phone. In addition to standard Bluetooth connectivity, the available 2017 Honda Ridgeline technology features do quite a bit to keep you connected.
Bluetooth HandsFreeLink: Sync up a smartphone for streaming audio and making hands-free calls; pair it once and the Ridgeline knows to connect each time you start the truck.
Display Audio Touchscreen: The available 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen features an 800×480 WVGA resolution and brings convenient touch controls to vehicle settings, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay: Your iPhone or Android smartphone can now easily communicate with your vehicle through these advanced connectivity features. Not only will connectivity be streamlined, you’ll have familiar apps like maps, mail, and messages right on your dash.
HondaLink: Honda’s exclusive telematics system features its own app and brings music, podcasts, radio stations, and even your social media feeds to the dash of the Ridgeline. Go into the app on your phone and schedule maintenance in seconds.
Navigation: The available navigation system with satellite connectivity gets you from point A to point B, and it finds the shortest route, even around traffic. The touchscreen interface can guide you to points of interest and offers 3D mapping of the area as well.
Voice Recognition: Keep your hands on the wheel and your focus on the road while staying in control of media and tech features with the available voice-recognition software—the Ridgeline knows hundreds of different commands.
When it comes to auto technology, most drivers’ minds first go to high-tech gadgets, but Honda’s agenda starts elsewhere: safety. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline technology features work to make it one of the safest trucks in its class, including the following standard and available features:
Multi-Angle Rearview Camera: Each Ridgeline has a multi-angle rearview camera that engages automatically whenever you shift into reverse. Back into a parking spot or line up the trailer with confidence that your path is clear.
Honda LaneWatch: Found on the RTL-T trim level, Honda LaneWatch is a blind-spot camera mounted below the passenger-side mirror. Simply signal to change lanes and its view shows up on the in-dash display so you can see what’s hiding in the blind spot.
Lane Departure Warning: Working together with Lane Keeping Assist, this Honda Sensing safety feature detects if you have drifted from your lane and then issues a warning before giving the wheel a gentle nudge to keep you centered.
Forward Collision Warning: Radar sensors on the front of the vehicle can detect when the Ridgeline is on a collision course, and this available Honda Sensing feature will issue you a warning if it senses an accident is likely. If the warning is not responded to, the Collision Mitigation Braking System can automatically brake.
Road Departure Mitigation: This Honda Sensing feature uses a camera to track common side-of-road markings and objects, using brake and steering controls to keep the Ridgeline on the road if it senses your path is heading toward the shoulder or off the pavement.
Adaptive Cruise Control: The front radar sensors of the Forward Collision Warning system work with this available feature to automatically adjust your cruise control, sensing how far away other vehicles are and how fast they are moving.
