The 2018 Honda Odyssey is well known for being able to do a lot of different things for Mid-Missouri drivers, and one of those things is providing an impressive suite of safety features. These features allow drivers to stay in control and at ease behind the wheel, but just how safe are these features? Well, see what the experts at the IIHS and NHTSA have to say about it below.

Why Honda Reigns Supreme

The 2018 Honda Odyssey has accumulated its fair share of accolades for its many abilities; however, when it comes to safety ratings, the Odyssey blows the competition out of the water. When inspected by the IIHS, the vehicle received envy-worthy marks of “Good” in almost all categories, with the exception of an “Acceptable” for the headlights, but only on certain trim levels. When it comes to frontal crash prevention, the Odyssey even scored a perfect “Superior.” If all of that’s not enough, the 2018 Honda Odyssey with available Honda Sensing and LED headlights was awarded the 2017 Top Safety Pick+ honor by the IIHS.

The NHTSA further proves the Odyssey’s capacity for safety. In NHTSA testing, the 2018 Odyssey got a perfect 5 out of 5 stars in 10 of the 11 major categories.* The one missing section is a 4 out of 5 stars in overall rollover rating.
