Honda LogoMid-Missouri drivers are always looking for the next big thing, and it’s no surprise that they’re paying close attention to the revelations occurring at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. The Chicago Auto Show has been held since the very beginning of the 20th century, and automobile manufacturers from all over the world routinely bring out their most exciting new vehicles to display at the event. This year, the engineers and designers at Honda have made an especially strong showing. Their most recent round of debuts centered on the 2018 Honda Odyssey and the all-new 2017 Honda Project 2&4, both of which serve to demonstrate Honda’s commitment to innovation.

2018 Honda Odyssey

The 2018 Honda Odyssey puts a new spin on an old favorite. Drivers from all over the country have been singing the praises of the 2017 Honda Odyssey since its release, and many are eager to see what new elements will be present in its successor. The new Odyssey keeps the 2017 version’s 3.5L V6 engine, but now, it’s offering more power than ever before. The 2018 Odyssey is capable of mustering 280 hp, where the 2017 version was only able to manage 248 hp! Additionally, the 2017 model’s 6-speed automatic transmission has been replaced with a 9-speed automatic, and a 10-speed automatic transmission has also been made available as an upgrade. The 2018 Honda Odyssey will offer Honda Sensing safety features like Collision Mitigation Braking and Lane Keeping Assist, as well as advanced convenience features like an in-car WiFi hot spot, adaptive cruise control, and an in-car vacuum cleaner!

2017 Honda Project 2&4

The 2017 Honda Project 2&4 emerged out of a competitive challenge between teams of Honda engineers, and we think it’s a strong sign of good things to come! The Project 2&4 combines a 999 cubic centimeter engine with an innovative and ultra-light four-wheel frame, and it easily stands out as one of the most exciting vehicles at the Chicago Auto Show this year. Drivers won’t be able to test out this 212-hp powerhouse on public roads for some time, but it’s already clear that the Project 2&4 is going to be worth the wait.
