Honda Unveils Concept Cars in Beijing

April 15th, 2014 by

At Mid-Missouri Honda Dealers, we get excited for Honda news all over the globe, and that includes when new vehicle might get released in worldwide auto shows.

Recently in Beijing, the automaker introduced the Spirior and Concept B to the crowd. While we can’t be sure if they’ll be making it stateside anytime soon, we thought it would be nice to give you a heads up as to what the Honda brand is doing all over the world.

And who knows, we could see elements of some of these showing up in new American Honda vehicles someday.

The Concept B

The Concept B is a five-door lift-back that resembles the 2014 Honda Insight a bit. Honda has confirmed that the model will inspire a production vehicle with a 2016 Chinese release date. No powertrain specifics have been released for it yet.

The Spirior

The Spirior sports a powertrain that is shared by the Acura TLX, a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, and it is expected to arrive in showrooms in Australia. Teased with a sketch, the proper model was unveiled in Beijing.

The Future of Honda

While we can’t know for sure whether elements from either of these vehicles will make it to a Honda vehicle near you, it feels like the future is already here at Mid-Missouri Honda Dealers, where we have models like the 2014 Honda CR-Z—a mixture of a sports car and a hybrid—right here in our showroom.

And the family-friendly 2014 Honda Accord is without a doubt one of our most popular models, featuring an array of great standard features and setting itself apart from boring midsize sedans with an elegant design and comfortable interior.
